Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) & Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Program

The New Mentality ADD/ADHS Program  is designed to treat and improve the lives of adults that have been diagnosed or have symptoms of ADD or ADHD, without the use of medication.

Developed to help adults improve their focus and attention on daily tasks while at work, home or wherever their attention may be required and/or demanded.

With our innovative technology, we can treat it without the use of medications. Our neurotherapist can perform what’s known as a “brain map” to begin the assessment process and begin to understand how the individual’s brain is functioning. With that information and a combination of other clinical assessments, the team at New Mentality can create a treatment program best suited to assist in improving attention, focus, processing speed, and performance.

A person with ADHD has differences in brain development and brain activity that affect attention, impulse control and the ability to sit still.

ADHD can also cause anger outbursts, difficulty completing tasks, restlessness and the inability to socially engage or connect.

ADD/ADHD?

Do you find it hard to pay attention? Do you feel the need to move constantly during times when you shouldn’t? Do you find yourself constantly interrupting others?

“ADHD has been proven by science to be based on brain functioning.”

If these issues are ongoing and you feel that they are negatively impacting your daily life, it could be a sign of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

ADD/ADHD affects 4.4% of U.S. adults, but most adults live with the symptoms and suffer without ever identifying the source of their struggles.

DID YOU KNOW?

What is ADHD (ADULTS)

ADHD, also known as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder is one of the most common mental disorders affecting many adults and also affecting children.

Many adults spend years believing their challenges with focus, organization, or restlessness are simply “personality quirks.” Because overt hyperactivity tends to fade after adolescence, adult ADHD frequently presents as chronic disorganization, inner agitation, impulsive decisions (spending, job‑hopping), or difficulty sustaining attention in meetings and relationships.

What causes ADHD?

Researchers at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), National Institutes of Health (NIH), and across the country are studying the causes of ADHD. Current research suggests ADHD may be caused by interactions between genes and environmental or non-genetic factors. Like many other illnesses, a number of factors may contribute to ADHD such as:

  • Genes
  • Cigarette smoking, alcohol use, or drug use during pregnancy
  • Exposure to environmental toxins, such as high levels of lead, at a young age
  • Low birth weight
  • Brain injuries

Key signs to watch for

  • Inattention (not being able to keep focus)
  • Hyperactivity (excessive movement that is not fitting to the setting)
  • Impulsivity (quick acts that occur in the moment without thought)
  • Misplacing essentials—keys, phones, invoices—on a daily basis

  • Procrastination followed by “crisis‑mode” bursts of productivity

  • Racing thoughts or inability to wind down, even when exhausted

  • Frequent interruptions in conversation or impatience in traffic and queues

  • A history of unfinished projects, missed deadlines, or job turnover

How is ADHD diagnosed?

Do you find it hard to pay attention? Do you feel the need to move constantly during times when you shouldn’t? Do you find yourself constantly interrupting others? If these issues are ongoing and you feel that they are negatively impacting your daily life, it could be a sign of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Adults need five or more persistent symptoms of inattention and/or hyperactivity‑impulsivity that began before age 12 and still disrupt work, studies, finances, driving, or home life.

ADD/ADHD affects 4.4% of U.S. adults, but most adults live with the symptoms and suffer without ever identifying the source of their struggles.

With our innovative technology, our neurotherapist can perform what’s known as a “brain map” to begin the assessment process and begin to understand how the individual’s brain is functioning.
