Child ANXIETY Program in Mooresville, NC | New Mentality

New Mentality ANXIETY Disorder Program

The New Mentality anxiety program is designed to treat and improve the lives of your child. Having been diagnosed or have symptoms of ANXIETY, without the use of medication. We proudly serve Mooresville, the Lake Norman area including Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, and surrounding areas.

The program has been developed to help children improve anxiety symptoms in social situations, events, school. Including post-traumatic experiences or situations they feel limited, threatened, worried and/or constantly try to avoid.

ANXIETY has been proven by science to be based on brain functioning.  A person with Anxiety has differences in brain development and brain activity that affect behavior, control of thoughts and daily life.

How We Can Help

Using innovative technology, our neurotherapist conducts a neurophysiologic stress test that measures heart rate variability, muscle tension, skin conductance, and other responses.

We also perform a brain assessment to visualize brain activity, identifying areas that are overactive or underactive. This mapping reveals how different brain regions function and their energy use.

Combining stress test results, brain mapping, and clinical assessments, New Mentality crafts personalized treatment plans to help clients manage stress responses and build confidence in controlling their anxiety.

ANXIETY?

Anxiety disorders in kids go beyond ordinary worries—persistent fear, tension, or avoidance starts to block everyday life at school, home, or with friends. Genetics, temperament, stressful experiences (bullying, illness, family conflict), and an over‑sensitive “fight‑or‑flight” system can all play a role. Common clues include constant “what if?” questions, clinginess or refusal to separate from caregivers, stomachaches or headaches without a medical cause, irritability, trouble sleeping, and sudden meltdowns in social or feared situations.

“Childhood anxiety is common, often under‑treated, and frequently co‑occurs with other challenges—early, evidence‑based support makes a real difference.”

When everyday jitters become daily roadblocks, early support makes a big difference. If these signs sound familiar, reach out to a qualified child‑therapist or pediatrician for a thorough evaluation and a plan tailored to your child’s needs.
